person medicals to their personnel. They recognise the maintenance of their

services are tailored to specific individuals in your workforce. Services
ranging from blood pressure monitoring, vision and VDU eye checks, hearing
assessments to heart tracing or lung function testing, travel vaccinations,
counselling and mentoring can all be provided. A combination of other services
are offered to complement your company's own plans including a specialised
Occupational Health and Health and Safety consultancy.
For Individuals
At regular intervals throughout your working life the monitoring of
health and fitness is vital. Medicals may be needed to comply with employment
rules or for your own peace of mind and well-being. Other services include a
travel health clinic, a confidential counselling and mentoring service. Whatever your circumstances

Dr Peter Orton is an approved Panel Doctor for both Australian and New Zealand Immigration Medicals. Chest x-rays, if arranged through Aviation Medica, are done at the Nuffield Hospital, Cambridge. This medical can be carried out pre-employment , or as part of the CAA recommended 2 yearly Cabin Crew Assessments.
All medical assessment comply with CAA(JAR) standards.
The medical starts with a general health questionnaire followed by assessments with a Nurse Practitioner. Clients are then seen by an Aviation Medical Examiner for completion of the medical.
Should our clients not supply relevent medical forms, we are more than happy to use a CAA approved health questionnaire, and if requested, issue written notification of medical status within one working week of the medical.
Medicals take 30 minutes.

This service employs a full chain of custody proceedure to obtain urine samples that are then screened for alcohol and substances of misuse.
Companies are recognising that screening of this nature is fast becoming more relevent in the occupational setting.
A fully accredited National Toxicology Unit is used to give fast reliable results which can be used to support disciplinary or legal proceedures.
Testing takes a minimum of 30 minutes with additional waiting time as needed.
Companies receive written notification of testing results approximately one working week after the medical.

This clinic offers a vaccination service and advice, both for the Foreign Traveller, and to Companies who may require advice regarding their employment risks.
Consultations focus on each individual's requirements, accounting for flexible travel plans such as 'Gap Year' travellers, and providing advice on appropriate vaccination schedules.

Full vision testing is undertaken for each client, including night, colour and peripheral vision assessments amongst others. An audiogram is used to assess hearing. Other assessments such as blood pressure monitoring, height and weight measurements, as well as urine checks for diabetes and kidney problems are routinely carried out.
A comprehensive Occupational Health facility is available should this medical highlight current or predicted health issues. Referral for this service would be discussed on an individual basis.
